As political consultations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, respected APC stakeholder and grassroots mobilizer, Hon. Amb. Mrs. Comfort Briggs Lokpobiri, has thrown her weight behind the senatorial aspiration of Hon. Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo, describing him as a tested legislator with the experience and capacity required to effectively represent the people of Benue South in the National Assembly.
According to Lokpobiri, the forthcoming election presents an opportunity for the people of Benue South to consolidate on quality representation by electing a candidate with proven legislative credentials, deep grassroots connections, and a clear understanding of the workings of the National Assembly.
She noted that Francis Ottah Agbo’s record in the House of Representatives remains one of the strongest among contemporary political leaders from the district.
“Benue South needs a senator who understands legislation, constituency development, and the art of attracting federal opportunities to our people. Francis Ottah Agbo has demonstrated these qualities before and possesses the experience needed to deliver even greater results at the Senate,” she reportedly stated.
The former federal lawmaker represented Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, where he earned recognition for his contributions to legislative debates, constituency projects, youth empowerment initiatives, and community development efforts.
Supporters of the former lawmaker argue that his years in the National Assembly equipped him with the exposure, relationships, and institutional knowledge necessary to effectively champion the interests of Benue South at a higher legislative level.
