Akii of Kwararafa Kingdom
Air Vice Marshal Monday Morgan (Rtd.) was on Wednesday, 15th July 2026, honoured with the prestigious title “Akii of Kwararafa Kingdom” at a grand dinner held in his honour at Benji Hall, Bon Hotel Pearl, Jabi Lake, Abuja.
The ceremony, organised as a celebration of the conferment of the honourific title, drew dignitaries, well-wishers, and members of the Kwararafa Kingdom to Abuja for an evening described on the official invitation as a tribute to “a distinguished leader, patriot, and worthy son of the Kingdom.”
The occasion was chaired by Chief Dr. Paul-Harris Ogbole, SAN, with His Excellency Simon Bako Lalong and Comrade Abba Patrick Moro, PhD, in attendance as Special Guests of Honour, according to the event programme.
The title “Akii,” conferred within the Kwararafa Kingdom, is recognised as an honourific bestowed on individuals whose service, leadership, and contributions are deemed worthy of royal recognition. Air Vice Marshal Morgan’s conferment adds him to the roll of distinguished title holders honoured by the Kingdom for service to community and nation.
The evening’s programme combined the formal conferment with a dinner reception, bringing together political, military, and traditional figures in celebration of the honour.
